With your help, The Genieve Shelter is able to continue the safety net of services offered to our clients. Providing access to necessities is critical to the healing process, offering clients the hope of creating a better life to become independent of an abusive situation.

Cash gifts
These include cash, check, credit card, and electronic funds transfers. Did you know you can set up your credit card or checking account to be debited on a regular schedule of your choice making it as easy as possible for you to give to you’re your favorite charity?

Gifts of long-term appreciated stock or mutual funds offer a quick, easy, and tax-efficient way to support The Genieve shelter and avoid capital gains tax as well as receive an income tax deduction for the appreciated value.

Gifts of real estate are donated to The Genieve Shelter with your understanding that it will be sold and the proceeds will be used to support our mission unless it meets a specific need. We reserve the right to refuse property if it isn't in the agency's best interest.

Used Vehicles

We need used vehicles in good working condition and with a recent state inspection to help our residents with their transportation needs. The rural nature of our territory and limited public transportation poses a significant barrier to our client's ability to become self-sufficient. Please consider being a hero to someone in need.

We make special arrangements for furniture, appliances, used bedding, and household items such as decorative pieces, lamps, etc.

If special consideration is desired, please contact us with a brief description of the item(s). A donation will be granted based on current needs and space within the agency.

Donations Tips...

  • Please limit clothing donations to 2 bags/boxes.

  • We request that all clothing donations are in new or like-new condition.
